Sterilization Gases (EtO & PPO)

Sterilization gas mixtures typically consist of a sterilant gas (Ethylene Oxide – EtO, or Propylene Oxide – PPO) combined with a diluent such as carbon dioxide (CO₂). These mixtures are used to sterilize medical devices and other heat-sensitive products that cannot withstand high temperatures or steam sterilization.
